What happens after I book coverage?
When you reserve swimmer coverage with Cooper Street Photography, we follow your athlete through all of their individual heats for the rest of the meet. We track their events, photograph each race, and curate the best moments. After the meet, you’ll receive a private online gallery where you can view the photos, and your reservation fee becomes a credit you can use toward digital downloads or print products.
How do I book coverage for my swimmer?
Booking is a two-step process. First, you’ll complete a short intake form with your contact details and your swimmer’s information. After submitting the form, you’ll be directed to PhotoDay to complete the second step. Coverage is not fully booked until the PhotoDay credit is purchased.
How do I know if my registration went through correctly?
Once you submit the intake form, you should automatically be taken to PhotoDay for step two. After you purchase the credit, PhotoDay sends a confirmation. If you’re unsure whether everything went through, contact us and we can verify it.
Can I book coverage once the meet has already started?
Sometimes. If your swimmer still has remaining individual heats and we have capacity, we may be able to add them. Contact us to check availability.
Can I book coverage for multiple swimmers in the same family?
Yes. We offer a siblings package for family members swimming in the same meet. In step one, list the second swimmer on the intake form. Then purchase the sibling credit on PhotoDay. All photos from both swimmers will be delivered in one gallery.
How do you handle priority when two swimmers are scheduled at the same time?
If two covered swimmers race simultaneously and only one can be photographed due to lane position or venue limitations, priority goes to the swimmer whose coverage was booked first. When angles allow, we capture both.
Coverage at the Meet
Do you photograph every heat my swimmer is in?
Yes. Once coverage is booked, we follow your swimmer through all of their remaining individual heats in the meet.
When will the photos be uploaded?
Editing begins as soon as the meet ends. Smaller meets usually take about a day of editing per day of competition, while larger meets may take longer. When your gallery is ready, PhotoDay sends both an email and a text message. Check your junk or spam folder, and make sure you opt in to text messages so you don’t miss updates.
How many photos will my swimmer receive?
The number varies based on the meet, the events they swim, and what angles are available. We photograph every individual heat and focus on starts, turns, finishes, and any moments we can capture from our shooting position. Exact counts vary by meet.
Do you photograph relays?
If your swimmer is in a relay, we capture the portion of the race they swim. Other relay members may appear incidentally but are not individually covered unless they are also registered.
Do you photograph prelims and finals?
Yes. We follow your swimmer through all prelim, semifinal, and final races they swim in, as long as the schedule allows us to reach their lane.
Will there be photos of my swimmer if they’re in the outer lanes?
Yes. We photograph all lanes. Angle and visibility may vary by venue, but we position ourselves to capture every swimmer we’re covering.
What happens if my swimmer has multiple events back-to-back?
We track the meet timeline carefully and position ourselves to reach each race on time. When events run tight, we capture as much as possible.
Do you photograph mixed-age or combined heats?
Yes. Heat format does not change the coverage. We follow your swimmer’s lane and capture their race.
Will you photograph warmups or behind-the-block moments?
When time allows, we may capture warmups, behind-the-block moments, or team interactions. These are bonus images, since race coverage always takes priority.
Will you photograph dives, turns, and finishes?
Yes. We focus on key race moments whenever they’re visible from our shooting position. Some angles depend on the venue layout.
What happens if my swimmer changes events after I’ve already booked?
We follow the updated meet timeline and will cover all heats they swim. If you know a change is happening, letting us know helps us track it more accurately.
Can I contact you during the meet if something changes?
Yes. If your swimmer scratches, adds an event, or changes heats, feel free to reach out. Updates help us track them more accurately.
Galleries, Delivery, and Viewing
Will my swimmer’s gallery be private?
Yes. Your gallery is accessible only through your unique PhotoDay link. It isn’t publicly searchable.
What if I never received the PhotoDay link?
Check your junk or spam folder and mark PhotoDay emails as not junk. Make sure you opted in to text alerts. If you still don’t see it, contact us and we’ll resend it.
What if my gallery shows another swimmer or doesn’t look correct?
Just let us know. We’ll correct any misassigned images so your gallery is accurate.
What happens if I think photos are missing or a race wasn’t captured?
Send us the meet name and event details. We’ll check our files and confirm whether coverage exists. Some angles may not be available depending on the venue, but if a race was captured, we’ll make sure it appears in your gallery.
Can I still buy photos after the gallery expires?
Once a gallery expires, it’s no longer available in PhotoDay. In some cases, archived files may still be retrievable. Contact us and we’ll check availability.
Do you keep photos from past meets?
Yes. We archive images, though expired galleries may not remain accessible online. If you need photos from a previous meet, contact us and we’ll see what’s available.
Products and Orders
What kinds of products can I purchase?
Your gallery will include high-resolution digital downloads, prints, and specialty keepsakes available through PhotoDay.
Can I download all of my swimmer’s photos at once?
Yes. If a Buy All option is offered for that meet, you can download the full gallery in a single purchase.
Can I use my reservation credit toward any product?
Yes. Your credit can be applied to any digital download, print, or keepsake offered in your gallery.
Can I share my gallery with family or friends?
Yes. Share your PhotoDay link with anyone who would like to view or purchase images.
Can I request edits or retouching?
Basic adjustments are already included. If you’d like additional retouching, contact us and we can discuss options.
Can my swimmer’s coach or team use the photos?
Yes. Purchased photos can be shared with coaches or used for team purposes. For promotional or commercial use, contact us to confirm permissions.
Can I purchase photos as gifts?
Yes. Prints, keepsakes, and digital images purchased through your gallery can all be used for gifts or shared with family.
